COFFINS scattered the demo to some overseas labels. The US label called RAZORBACK RECORDS showed interest in their sound, and they received an album release offer from them.

By chance, the time they got the offer was the same as the time they received the demo reissue offer. They did the recording by the same line-up using the NOISE ROOM STUDIO the same as demo recording, and completed the album in about 3-4 days.

Chris Moyen drew the artwork. Uchino has always been a big fan of his works, so he offered it to him by his judgment.

This album was repressed by the label in 2006 and also reissued in 2008 from another label.

COFFINS were born in 1996.

They played the sound mixed heavy junk and doom/sludge in those days.

They activity stopped once in about 2000, and they came to play the current doom/death-style sound in 2003.

“Demo 2003” was recorded by the line-up UCHINO – Guitar/Vocal, YOU – Drums, SENTOU – Bass/Vocal.

They received the reissue release offer of the demo from the Spanish label called LIVING DEAD SOCIETY. In 2005, it was released as a comp CD including remaster demo, VENOM cover and live tracks. The artwork by PUTRID is for LP reissued in 2010. Not original.

After releasing the 1st album, they received the 2nd album release offer from the germany label called IMPERIUM PRODUCTIONS soon, and began to write the songs for the new album immediately.

But as the bassist left the band, we added KOREEDA as a new bassist in 2006, and completed the recording work at NOISE ROOM STUDIO with him in about 3-4 days again.
