AD HOMINEM

Founded in 1998 in southern France by Kaiser, AD HOMINEM had one clear goal: to defy the stagnant standards of contemporary black metal. After two demos and four years of simmering rage, Planet Zog – The End (2002) erupted like a declaration of war, establishing AD HOMINEM as one of France’s most extreme black metal acts with its provocative lyrics and thrashy martial soundscapes.

The following year, A New Race For A New World (2003), released via the German label Undercover Records with a session drummer, hammered the point home and solidified the band’s infamy. The album’s success drew the attention of larger labels. After three 7” splits, Kaiser W. signed with Avantgarde Music, unleashing what would be a defining moment in the band’s history: Climax Of Hatred (2005), accompanied by the MCD Theory: 0.

In 2009, Dictator – A Monument Of Glory emerged through the controversial Darker Than Black Records. From there, Kaiser W. assembled a solid lineup, propelling AD HOMINEM onto the live stage with renewed ferocity. After a period of silence, a remix MCD by Greek EBM project PREEMPTIVE STRIKE 0.1 resurfaced, again under Darker Than Black’s banner.

2015 saw AD HOMINEM’s triumphant return under cult French label Osmose Productions, delivering an unexpected black’n’roll album that added a new sonic dimension to the band’s arsenal. Three years later, AD HOMINEM struck back with Napalm For All, their sixth opus (and second with Osmose), pushing their black’n’roll assault to even more brutal extremes.

After a prolonged hiatus, Kaiser W. returned in 2023 with the EP I Am God – You Are Nothing, marking a shift towards an even more ruthless sound.

The culmination came in 2025 with Totalitarian Black Metal, the final stone in AD HOMINEM’s unrepentant legacy. With this release, Kaiser W. reaffirmed his mission to make AD HOMINEM brutal again, proving that black metal has no place for tolerance and no patience for compromise.
