In 2005 in the north-east of France, from the mist of forge dust, alcohol and a region spattered with a history of pedophilia, emerged NGR, HRS and NKR. Their fate was sealed from the moment their paths crossed, their forces welded together in an unbreakable alliance. VoE was born.

Two years later possessed by mysticism and obscurantism their apocalyptic visions materialized. Their Ultra-Violent Black/ Thrash Metal was unleashed upon the world under the label ARS FUNEBRIS RECORDS. Celebrating chaos and abhorrence, it had no title but a moral: “In Satan And Plutonium We Trust”.

The album’s release announced the impending destruction of stages and venues all over Champagne, Ardennes and Belgium, where the divide widens between your average, lukewarm local bands, who play with neither faith nor strong beliefs, and this newborn Storm.

The trio used the experience gained through this to sharpen their game, embodying a more mature and more controlled extremism. With a new name and renewed focus “Fanatik Spiritual Devotion” was created. The EP, heralded by Forgotten Wisdom Productions, is concise and brutal, flying their flag and leading the charge towards Truth and Annihilation. Whilst FWP spread the Word far and wide the band continued its crusade, playing alongside great names such as Blasphemophager, Proclamation, Inquisition and more.

2011 would see the band’s pledge honored by a split EP with their brothers Morzhol, once again supported by FWP. At this point they turned their attention to playing live, perfecting and refining their performances across all stages that would dare to host them. Surrounded by unconvincing groups feigning violence and spouting insignificant subversive messages, the group then decided to take a moment of introspection; for some taking up arms and for others through their commitment to Death in their day-to-day lives. So began the slow and deliberate process of composing, each member bringing to the table his personal insight from this transient and explorative period. This movement borne from obscurity took its shape and a name :

FVLGVR.LVX.TERROR !

Lightening strikes, light irradiates all, Terror reigns.

The album was recorded live at the Blackout Studio (Enthroned, Possession, Emptiness, Lucifyre) and released by Deadlight Entertainment. More accomplished, more masterful and gaining followers, the band became swiftly acknowledged by both the press and other artists in the genre as one to be at the forefront of the French BM movement. Opportunities now lay at the feet of VoE to spread their vision, in ever-greater settings and to the faithful and ever-growing masses.

In 2016, with a new demonstration of force, PRZ of Morzhol joined the ranks on second guitar and incantations. From here it was the task of Alexis Guerbas (LES ROUAGES) to use his expertise to shape the sound of VoE into a professional masterpiece. Since then this pentagonal cult of hate, black metal and dried, putrid blood has been delivering authentic rituals to those who wish to bring the Light to their people.

After stunning the masses with their performances at both Hellfest and Forest Fest, their following is growing exponentially, doors are opening and paths revealing themselves in the all-consuming Light. Together they have embarked on this pilgrimage which has lead them to the emergence of TRANSVBSTANTIATION; an album comprised of seven title tracks, which in itself will be an arrow of Nemrod.

2005, nord-est de la France, dans une ambiance de poussière de forge, d’alcool et de chair juvénile taquinée par de fameux pédophiles, le Destin fait converger les routes de NGR, HRS et NKR. Leurs vies, dès cet instant, se fondront en une entité qui les dépasse. VoE est né.

Deux ans plus tard, dans un premier accès incontrôlé de fureur mystique et d’obscurantisme radieux ; la formation s’appuie sur le label Ars Funebris Records pour matérialiser dans une débauche de Black/Thrash sale et agressif, et pour la première fois, la vision apocalyptique qui lui avait fait prendre les armes. Ce premier recueil, célébrant le chaos et l’abjection, n’aura pas un titre mais un postulat : « In Satan And Plutonium We Trust ».

Sa propagation permet au groupe de semer la désolation sur de nombreuses scènes de Champagne-Ardenne et de Belgique, où le fossé se creusera irrémédiablement entre eux et la multitude des tièdes et des cloportes enfilant les notes sans Foi ni Conviction.

Le venimeux triangle mettra rapidement en application cette expérience de terrain pour franchir dès 2008 un nouveau palier vers une radicalité plus mature et plus contrôlé. Nouveau nom, nouveau postulat : « Fanatik Spiritual Devotion ». L’opus est un format court, compact et hideux, un brûlot frappant d’une main plus sûre, plus précise, brandi comme l’Oriflamme, dans une croisade effrénée vers la vérité et l’anéantissement. Forgotten Wisdom Productions s’en fera le héraut, permettant ainsi à cette bonne parole -portée par un savoir-faire français, de projeter ses miasmes jusque dans les contrées les plus lointaines ; pendant que le groupuscule continuait d’affiner son discours par le biais d’affiches d’envergure (Lyon avec Blasphemophagher et Proclamation, Paris, Lille, Bruxelles, etc).

2011 sera l’année qui verra les vieux serments honorés, à travers un split infernal avec Morzhol, groupe frère de VoE, à nouveau porté par FWP. Le Culte se tourne à ce moment plus particulièrement vers le live, continuant à aiguiser ses lames sur toutes les scènes où l’on prendra le risque de l’accueillir. Ecœurés par les messages subversifs sans aucune portée, les groupes à la violence feinte et non vécue, les membre du groupe voient venir le temps de l’introspection, du passage par les vraies armes pour certains, de l’engagement dans la Mort pour d’autres, et un lent processus de composition s’engage, dans les méandres des explorations personnelles de chacun et enrichi des fruits de celles-ci. L’aboutissement de cet exalté parcours dans l’obscurité prend un nom :

FVLGVR.LVX.TERROR !

La Foudre qui frappe, la Lumière qui irradie, la Terreur qui transcende. L’œuvre est enregistrée en live au Blackout Studio (Enthroned, Possession, Emptiness, Lucifyre) et révélée à la surface de l’œkoumène par Deadlight Entertainment. Plus abouti, plus maitrisé, ce nouvel effort pour souiller le réel est massivement salué et rallie à la cause grandissante du groupe la presse et les acteurs sérieux du milieu, qui contribuent à le placer au premier plan de la scène française. Au dehors comme au dedans, les portes s’ouvrent à VoE pour exposer sa vision dans des lieux toujours plus vastes et devant des fidèles toujours plus nombreux.

Se préparant dans l’Ombre à une nouvelle démonstration de force, et contre toute attente, la Phalange ajoute en 2016 une lance à sa formation en intronisant PRZ de Morzhol à la seconde guitare et aux imprécations. Puis c’est au tour d’Alexis Guerbas (LES ROUAGES), carne des consoles analogiques, d’apporter son expérience et le poids de ses connaissances sonores pour rendre la présence scénique des quatre illuminés, professionnelle. Depuis, ce pentagone de haine, de black métal et de sang crouteux offre de véritables rituels à qui voudrait apporter la Lumière à son peuple.

Ces rites scéniques sont fanatiques et exaltés, et le nombre des fidèles convaincus s’accroît à une vitesse exponentielle. Leurs performances sur les plaines du Hellfest 2017 et dans la nuit du Forest Fest seront les sommets de cette nouvelle fureur.

Riche de possibilités jusqu’alors inexplorées pour enluminer son austère livre des morts, VoE se lance dans une nouvelle course effrénée vers la lumière, celle qui éclaire et qui consume. La première étape de ce nouveau pèlerinage en arme aura pour nom TRANSVBSTANTIATION, comptera 7 titres et sera à lui seul l’une des flèches de Nemrod.
